Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen has made his first impression known about the quality of players in the home-based Eagles (CHAN Eagles) camp after the completion of their first camping and preparation ahead of the 2025 CHAN qualifiers against Ghana, due for December 2024.
A total of 35 players who are plying their trade in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, completed a two day camping in Abuja on Wednesday and Thursday under the watchful eyes of the Coach Eguavoen.
The coach expressed his joy for the high display of technical abilities by the players after the completion of the first phase of camping.
“Very impressive, only two training sessions, but you can see that technically they are very good,” Eguavoen told NFF TV.
He however admitted that there is still more work to be done in order to get the needed results.
“We still have a lot of work to do because they are coming from different clubs. We have to try to see how we can blend them into one unit.” Coach Eguavoen explained.
Nigeria will face Ghana in the first leg of their CHAN Qualifiers between 20th – 22nd December, 2024, the second leg will take place a week after in Nigeria.
